Ideas to keep those little darlings busy!
Pancakes - really really easy for kiddies to make
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
flavouring - fruit of any kind, honey, cinnamon... let your imagination - or theirs - roam
Mix the ingredients together.
In a hot pan, put two or three tablespoons of batter to make one pancake.
Cook both sides.
Serve with yoghurt or ice cream and a drizzle of honey.
Kesia made these entirely on her own, including cooking at just eight years old.
Thanks to Jamie Oliver for the recipe

Edible necklaces
You will need liquorice strings (although a length of string, ribbon, scoobi etc would do) and some cheerios!
Have the sweethearts thread the cheerios onto the string to make a necklace, tie the ends and send the bejewelled children away to snack on their new jewelry!

Needlework
A lovely activity to differentiate ages and abilities. The other day, we started three needlework projects. Tom had an outline picture drawn on some wide canvas, and is threading in and out along the lines. Just sellotaping the end of the wook provides a safe and easy-to-use needle.
Zack is using the same canvas, but doing a simple tapestry stitch to create a picture - yellow sun with a blue background.
Kesia, the slightly more crafty one has discovered latch hooking. Although it was a little struggle at first, she now loves doing it.
